Division of Thin Film Technologies

Student Scientific Club TE

"Student Scientific Club "Transparent Electronics - TE" was established in 2008 on the initiative of Prof. Danuta Kaczmarek, PhD, DSc, Eng. Since the very beginning of its existence, it has been carrying out popularization activities aimed at developing knowledge in the field of electronics and photonics, as well as shaping the skills of independent problem solving in nanotechnology. The concept of transparent (transparent) electronics combines classical electronics and photonics, which is not an easy task and requires the fabrication of new types of functional materials and advanced microelectronic structures (e.g., multilayer coatings). They enable simultaneous processing of electrical and optical signals. Students belonging to the Club have the opportunity to participate in technological work related to the production of advanced thin-film nanomaterials in laboratories belonging to the Department of Electronic and Photonic Metrology. In addition, the scope of their research also includes optical, electrical and structural diagnostics of designed and fabricated functional coatings and, more recently, photovoltaics.

The objectives of the TE Scientific Club are:
- popularization activities aimed at developing knowledge in electronics, photonics and photovoltaics,
- shaping the ability to independently solve problems concerning nanostructures,
- optical, electrical and structural diagnostics of nanocrystalline thin-film materials,
- development of photovoltaic technologies based on new technological solutions,
- enabling a wide exchange of experience and presentation of the results of one's own work,
- integration of the student community.

Joining the Club:
Any student or doctoral student interested in furthering his/her knowledge can become a member of the Club. Joining the TE Club requires filling out a membership declaration and is confirmed in writing. Declarations are available for download in room 101 C-2.
