The main areas of the Division's activities:
- study of layer deposition processes by PVD methods,
- design, construction, modernization, and manufacture of vacuum components (electron guns, magnetrons) and service of these devices working in other scientific/research units,
- fabrication of thin films by magnetron sputtering,
- diagnostics of optical properties of materials using the light transmission method and the photoconductance method,
- diagnostics of electrical properties of materials by thermoelectric, current-voltage measurements,
- studies of the thin-film multifunctional nanomaterials properties,
- testing of laboratory PV cells and modules, and long-term measurements of PV systems under natural conditions.
