On May 18-23, 2025, representatives of our Team - Prof. Jaroslaw Domaradzki, Dr. Michal Mazur and Dr. Damian Wojcieszak - participated in the Optica OIC - Optical Interference Coatings Conference, which took place in Arizona, USA.
For years, this conference has been one of the most important scientific events in the field of physics and engineering of optical thin films. Its program covers the latest developments in coating design theory, modern deposition methods, advanced characterization techniques and innovative applications in fields such as laser optics, sensors and sensing systems, photovoltaics, low emissivity coatings, high-precision optical instruments, and space technologies.
As part of the conference sessions, the participants presented the results of their current research, which received a lot of attention from the international research community.
Presentations delivered:
🔹Prof. Jarosław Domaradzki: Analysis of the Impact of Heat Treatment and the Presence of Hydrogen on the Optical Properties of WO₃ Thin Films Prepared by EBE,
🔹 Dr hab. Michał Mazur: Gasochromic Properties of Tungsten Oxide Thin Films Prepared by Glancing Angle Deposition with Electron Beam Evaporation,
🔹 Dr hab. Damian Wojcieszak: Comparison of Optical and Antibacterial Behavior of Nb₂O₅ Coatings Prepared by Gas Impulse Magnetron Sputtering with Homogeneous and Gradient Distribution of Bioactive Ions.
Participation in the Optica OIC conference was an opportunity for an intensive exchange of experiences, the establishment of international scientific contacts and the presentation of research achievements in a global forum. The atmosphere of the event was conducive to both professional discussions and informal conversations, which will hopefully result in joint projects and new research initiatives.
We would like to thank the organizers for an excellently prepared conference and all the participants with whom we had the pleasure of meeting. It was an extremely inspiring time, full of scientific challenges, exchange of knowledge and passion for discovery.
